Rental Requirements
Thank you for considering renting a UTV, Jeep, E-Bike or Mobility Scooter from RideOn Rentals. To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all our customers, we have outlined the following requirements:
Please take note of the following rental requirements to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all:
- Valid Driver’s License: All drivers must present a valid driver’s license at the time of rental.
- Insurance Coverage: All drivers must present proof of car insurance. If don’t have one, don’t worry, RIDEON RENTALS offers insurance coverage for an additional fee to provide peace of mind during your excursion.
- Security Deposit: A security deposit is NOT required for any of our rentals. But a credit card which corresponds with the name from the driver license, must be provided to be saved on file until the return of the vehicle in its original condition.
- Safety Briefing: Prior to departure, all renters will receive a comprehensive safety briefing covering the vehicle/ebike operation, trail recommendations, and emergency procedures.
- Responsible Operation: Renters are responsible for operating our units in a safe and responsible manner at all times.
Ordinances and Laws
Before embarking on your outdoor adventures with RIDEON RENTALS, it’s crucial to familiarize yourself with local ordinances and laws governing off-road vehicle operation. By adhering to these regulations, you not only ensure your safety but also promote responsible stewardship of our natural landscapes.
Here are some key points to consider:
- NO OFF-Roading in the Great Smoky Mountains. All UTVs are for street use only. Gravel and dirt roads are fine.
- All operators must have a valid driver license.
- All speed limits inside the corporate limits of the City are 25 mph unless it is posted otherwise.
- UTVs are classified as medium speed vehicles and maximum speed is 35 mph.
- All occupants must wear safety belts at all times.
- Individuals are in violation of the City/s noise regulations if you can be heard 50 feet away. this includes exhaust, radio, horn, yelling, shouting, blowing whistles or any other type of noise.
- It is recommended to avoid residential areas, which are the greatest source of complaints about these vehicles originate.
- Revving engines, spinning tires and speeding are not allowed or accepted.
- Flashing color lights are prohibited.
- Improper passing and open alcohol are also prohibited.
Any moving violation of this type is a fine of $113.75 or more per violation. Operate your UTV carefully so that you and your passengers and other on the roadway have a safe visit to Gatlinburg.
